This class provides all of the information, experience, and proper certification that is required to let you SCUBA dive safely, anywhere in the world.
The class consists of one week night and two weekend days of pool sessions where skills are performed and repeated, a bit of classroom work to discuss challenges in the Open Water Diver Manual, two weekend days of diving in Monterey, and a simple exam.
There are a few required purchases for the class:
- Instruction: $289. This includes all instruction and certification.
- Academic Option (Choose One):
- Textbook: $79. This includes the Open Water Diver Manual, Recreational Dive Planner, Medical History form and forms necessary to receive certification form PADI. or
- eLearning: Prices Vary. The other option is to pay for the PADI eLearning, which provides all course materials and exempts you from the classroom portion of the class.
- Rental Gear: $75. This includes all necessary, non-personal gear for the class, and may be waived if you choose to do your dive portion of the certification at a different shop:

- Personal Gear: Prices starting around $250. Buy the gear for where you plan on diving. There is a 10% discount that is applied when purchasing equipment while signed up for a class. Necessary gear is as follows:
